Cathedral and Church Santa Maria Novella – Historical Monuments of Florence
The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fjor and Baptisteria were built with a difference of about 300 years.
Together they create a luxurious ensemble, which is well complemented by a square -type bell tower. All these structures are treated with Carrara marble of white, pink and green color.
Santa Church Maria Novella often meets new guests of the city, as she is located next to the station. It was founded in the 18th century, primarily for the Dominican monks.
The facade of the building is made in the Gothic-Romanian style with white and green marble cladding. Inside the church there are many frescoes and paintings by the most famous artists of that time.
