Unusual architectural structures of Mecca
Mecca is located in the west of modern Saudi Arabia, about 75 km from the coast of the Red Sea.
There is no city more significant for the Muslim world than Mecca. The first mention of Mecca dates back to the 2nd century n. e. and belongs to the ancient Greek geographer Ptolemy.
In the center of Mecca is the complex of the mosque Haram Beit Ullah-the main mosque of Muslims. Its name is translated as “Holy House of Allah” or “Forbidden House of Allah”. The entrance is not Muslims into the mosque is strictly prohibited.
Haram Beit Ullah has unusual architectural forms. The building of the mosque is a closed pentagon with uneven sides and vast courtyard.
Mosterate nine minarets. No mosque has a world more. Even in the famous Blue Mosque in Istanbul there are six of them.
