How to know myself – this is what I wanted to talk to you today. Yesterday I wrote an article that she began to conduct one small personal marathon, where she indicated that one of my goals is the knowledge of the world. After which I have some considerations about this, which I hasten to share with you.
How to know yourself
During my thoughts, I came to the conclusion that the knowledge of myself occurs through interaction with the world and with the surrounding people.
For example, take a small child. How he knows the world? Through interaction with their parents. He hear them talk to him, he repeats the habits of his parents.
When it grows up and begins to run, he learns himself through interaction with the world – he shows curiosity to the things surrounding him. He recognizes new and knows what he likes and what he does not like.
In the process of interaction with the outside world, he experiences certain emotions. In various life situations, he learns what he is capable of, what qualities he possesses, as others see him.
That is, in fact, the knowledge of oneself is all our life. But these knowledge is minimal, because a person simply floats with the flow. And where he will bring him, he will know.
I think this is not enough. A person needs to know about himself and about the world much more.
What is needed in order to know yourself?
To know the new
Firstly, we need to be more interested in what surrounds us. I know that there is no interest in the world. But how can you know yourself if a person just works, watch TV in the evenings, eat and drink what and drank the same way as 5 years ago?
For example, I now like the food that I eat. But I like her within the framework in which I am. And these frames are very narrow. I have not tried to eat right, I have not tried vegetarianism, I have not tried a raw food diet, I have not tried exquisite dishes. What if I like something more of this, and I will never return to my current nutrition? Until I try, I will not recognize it.
Awareness
After a person began to learn new and participate in new events, it is worth consciously treated himself and his actions. Understand what I liked and what I did not like what quality of character has shown more, how the body reacted to the innovation. All this can be fixed on paper.
For example, personally in my life there are few friends. And others always told me about it. Advised to get acquainted more and communicate. And the peers tried to hurt the fact that I was silent when I was in society. But recently, when trying to find a friend in a big city, I realized that I did not need many friends. I am satisfied with the situation in which I am.
I am not silent, but even vice versa, I can chat without stopping, I can always find a topic for conversation, but I do it only with very close friends.
And this is not good and not bad. This is a given, my essence and it suits me.
Look around
Our internal is reflected in our external. Therefore, if you look at where a person works, what he eats, where he goes, with whom he communicates closely, then we can say what characteristics he has.
But, however, this is not a 100% result. For example, I consider the friends of my husband to be inorganized, irresponsible, trouble -free, but at the same time he himself is not so. Always treats any business very seriously and responsibly.
Ask others
Therefore, you can resort to one more way of knowing yourself is to ask a “neighbor”. Approach the closest relatives, friends and find out how they see you. It will be good if you ask a few people. It is possible that someone does not want to offend you and will not talk about negative qualities, and someone will say. Therefore, asking about yourself only one person is not an option.

Ask yourself questions and try to answer them honestly:

What is my vacation quality – at the TV, in the garden or a trip to interesting places?
