Analyzing my activities over the past two months, I have come to some discoveries, which are written about on each site dedicated to personal growth, in every book, after achievements and in many articles on psychology.
We are talking about self -discipline, the question that arose today: “Why is this attention paid to this issue?»Let’s figure it out.
Firstly, in fact, each of us wants something, dreams of something, someone (the most advanced) has certain goals. It would seem that this is enough to take and do what depends on you to achieve your goals. But, before everyone is a barrier at the very beginning of the journey … What kind of barrier is this? This is nothing more than the border of the comfort zone. What is a comfort zone? These are the factors and the circumstances to which we react without irritation, those tasks that we are used to solving, affairs brought to automatism. In our case, on the way to the desired results, the boundaries of the comfort zone create some obstacles that are designed to weed out unwanted consequences for the body and existence in general. But, as strong personalities, there is no need to exist, we want to live and enjoy life, and for this all obstacles must be perceived solely as endurance tests. After all, the more such barriers you overcome, the big results you can achieve.
From this reasoning the question of why we have to educate self -discipline arise. What was the impetus for its degeneration? Where are the roots of this problem?
In my opinion, we are too accustomed to the false comfort that we were surrounded in childhood and youth. At school, we were narrowed by a comfort zone with estimates and specific homework, parents told us what we should do and how to give a special choice, referring to our authority), in high school we were driven out of work for working for the state or “uncle”, At the institute, we were stuffed with theory, which in no way was useful in practice and, as a result, we went into life surrounded by a narrow zone of comfort, absolutely not prepared for its realities.
I do not claim that the system or parents who lived in the “times” is to blame. No, only we ourselves are guilty, we agreed with everything that was said and allowed ourselves to feed ourselves by other people’s principles and goals.
And if so, it’s time to take responsibility and accept all the current circumstances, change the attitude to the reality surrounding us. Ask ourselves questions about what we want and what we are capable of, find answers to these questions and act!
The need to train self -discipline disappears when your eyes are open, when you see the goal when you are burning from the realization that you are able to achieve the desired result.
So why is the question of self -discipline given such close attention? Do we really need a push from outside to start acting? Do we really relate to our lives so irresponsible that we still believe that someone will solve our problems for us? We are used to shifting responsibility to others, hobbing from our personal failures and defeats that could become excellent teachers, if only our eyes were opened ..
